Puckey's Beach Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Hoojar: Dingo and I went for a walk this afternoon and can sadly confirm that the cache is no longer there. The piece of timber that it was hidden under was about 10m away from GZ. I'm not sure about the anomaly of the cache being found last weekend; potentially the cache was muggled and thrown into the bushes and is there to be found, but in the interest of environmental impact we were not going to be traipsing around searching for it.

Thanks to all of those who searched for and found this cache.

Geocache Description:

This is one of a series of caches placed to coincide with the tenth anniversary of geocaching.

Puckey's Beach between Stuart Park and Fairy Meadow is a great stretch of sand to run, walk or stroll along. Sadly it is also one of Wollongong's most open and dangerous beaches, and remains unpatrolled year round.

You can head to this one from the North, South or West.

Just remember, no swimming on this unpatrolled and dangerous stretch of coastline.
