Hverringe Gods

godset: Et lille stykke nordøst for
Kerteminde ligger godset Hverringe. Hverringe blev stamhus i 1768.
Det nuværende smukke, trefløjede anlæg blev opført ca. 1790 af Hans
Rudolph Iuel, der især er kendt for sin indsat under
Napoleonskrigen. Godset er stadig i slægten Iuel-Reventlows eje.
Det drives i dag som et moderne storlandbrug med speciale i
græsfrø. Godset er endnu en stor ejendomsbesidder på Hindsholm. Tæt
ved det nuværende gods (mellem avlsbygningerne og skoven) kan man
se det gamle voldsted, som består af en rund borgbanke omgivet af
en ca 10 meter bred grav. Dette middelalderlige anlæg kan være det
nuværende Hverringe Gods’ forgænger. I bakkens top har der
ligeledes været indrettet en iskælder, som blev brugt i forbindelse
med godsets mejeridrift. Der er ikke offentlig adgang til
godset.

About the
estate: A little northeast of Kerteminde lies the estate
Hverringe. The current beautiful triptych construction was built
around 1790 by Hans Rudolph Iuel, which is particularly known for
his role during the Napoleonic War. The estate is still in the
genus Iuel-Reventlows ownership. It is today run as a modern
agriculture farm, specializing in grass seed. The estate is still a
big property owner on Hindsholm. Near the estate (between the farm
buildings and the woods) you can see the ancient mounds, which
consists of a round castle hill surrounded by an approximately 10
meter wide trench. This medieval construction may be the Hverringe
eastate “predecessor”. In the hill top has also been
arranged a ice cellar, which was used in connection with the dairy
production. There is no public access to the
estate.
