This set of caches is in the seaside town of Amble. Although they are numbered, there is no order for finding them. There are plenty of places to stop for a drink and a snack or meal as you work your way around them.
This cache is easily accessed, quite close to the bench on the main road. You do not need to go into the spare ground at the back of the wall. You may need tweezers to remove it.
Amble Marina has an average of 3000 visitors a year, offering berths for yachts and motor cruisers. Nearby, Samian pottery, coins and the remains of a Roman altar were found at Gloster Hill in 1856. There is a pub called The Marina which serves food, welcomes children and has a beer garden. The cache is not far from here.
