This is the first cache location that I identified using Google
Maps Street View before even visiting the area. There aren't many
larger caches out in this area, so I wanted to place something that
would at least hold trackables and small trading items.
On my first visit to scope out the location, I realized quickly
that Google DOES NOT give you a good sense of street
elevation...lol. As I drove up to the cache location, I saw that
kids had written "THRILL HILL" in giant chalk letters across the
road. You'll understand why once you get there.
At the top, I found the perfect little hiding place for this 7"
x 5" lock n lock. It's about 40 ft. off the road, but it's very
peaceful up in this area, so you should have time to look. As
unlikely as it is, if muggles happen to be there you may want to
try again later. It's also likely some critters live up in this
area, so be on the lookout. The only thing I ran across was an inch
worm on my shirt sleeve as I drove away.
Hide the cache back exactly as you found it so that any kids
enjoying the "thrill" of the area, don't happen across it. The
initial contents are the log, several small trading items, a
geocoin and a Sacagawea dollar coin for the FTF.
Good luck and hope you enjoy this hide : )
10/4/2010 NOTE: There is construction for a new water tower
going on at the cache site. For now, you may want to search in the
evenings or on weekends for this smiley
