Extract from Captain Morgan's diary dated 1670
A successful voyage that gained us much booty. Berthed in Liverpool before negotiating
the dreaded Menai Straits en route to South Wales. The crew, scurvy dogs that they are,
smuggled a cask or rum on board resulting in a drunken helmsman.As a result we found ourself
aground on a sandbar at yon above bearings forced to wait for the next high tide.
Took the opportunity to come ashore and hide some of my booty. Hid four parts of the
co-ordinates at different locations as a precaution against theft.
