You are looking for a .30 Cal. (7.62 mm) ammo can.
This is part of the ASR (Alpena State Road) Series. The entire series consists of simple hides with fairly easy terrain and VERY short walks from parking. This series was placed with beginners, young children, or those not able to make extended hikes in mind. There are no extraordinary sights to be had along this route (aside from various wildlife). Just simple hides that allow folks to become familiar with their GPSrs’ or to pick up a few caches when they have some extra time to spend outdoors. If you are looking for challenging hides or fantastic sightseeing opportunities, this series may not be for you.
Note: Alpena State Road is a dirt/gravel road, but is well maintained throughout the year from US-23 to the Michigan Cranberry Company, well past the last cache in this series.
