Along the "easier" trail (reference for X-Country skiing). This is the third of several placed along this trail in commemoration of the 10 year anniversary of the birth of geocaching.
10 years ago the government de-classified the gps data and released it for public use. Some guy in Oregon placed a geocache in a park in Beaver Creek (on the east side of Portland), posted the coordinates online and the game was begun.
The trails behind St. Mary's University are great for skiing in the winter, and hiking and running the rest of the year ;-p. There is also an awesome disc golf course here, challenging but without the risk of losing one's disc in the water.
You are seeking a ziplock container. The geocache is within 10 ft. of the trail. I had a lot of trouble locking in a good signal so ignore the gps claims that you are still 40 feet off when you are standing on the cache. Do not search further than 10 feet from the trail if you want to find it :-).
