Totally Awesome, Very Unique 35MM Multi Cache, located in Willow
Park.
I rated the difficulty a 3 because Willow Park shows up in google
earth but does not have an actual entrance, contrary to mapquest
directions. Once you find one of the 2 listed entry ways, where you
would also park, it should be fairly easy and quick to find both
stages. I rated the terrain a 3 because there are some sort of
paths but the area overgrows every summer.
There is no real history of Willow Park to be found. It is a very
lovely tract of land that is currently preserved as wetlands. I
only know that because they protected it from the business on Broad
Street expanding into where the road water runs off down its entire
length. There is a pretty big area that was once used as a dump, as
evident from the thousands of glass bottles nearby that may never
decompose. There is evidence of bicycle trails and jumps that had
been used in more recent years, but certainly not recently. It is a
nice piece of property that gives the homes that border it some
country feel with all the comforts and conveniences of a city. We
have spotted deer, fox and other little critters here since we knew
of the area.
