Geocache Description:

This used to be a two stage multicache, but 4 legged animals kept messing with the 2nd stage so we reduced it to it's original 1st stage. There's a lotto scratcher ticket in there for the new FTF.

This cache is part of a circuit of caches on the (formerly) neglected side of Fairmont Ridge, above Lake Chabot. The other side may have a parking lot... but it no longer is on the short end of the stick cache-wise. Easy access is available at the bottom of the hill on Fairmont Drive near Lake Chabot Park, right about where Fairmont Drive turns into Lake Chabot Road. There is also a gate on Sheffield Road. All of these cache containers are commercially available over the internet. Camo not necessarily included. They include a couple lock & lock containers, a couple bison tubes, and something else.

"Kenna's Challenge" here is to find all the caches in 60 minutes (from the time you or a member of your team enter one of the two cattle-gates)... technically there are 4 locations to visit... but Kenna is making this about as easy as she can (this is intended as a training circuit - not a torture test)... and if you follow the numbers and the geo-trails, you can hopefully walk this circuit in less than 35 minutes (it's not quite as testing as the ridge on the other side of Fairmont Drive)... but that doesn't leave that much time for geo-searching and signing logs and whatnot... nevermind enjoying the view(s). Good Luck.

Please note that even operating under the assumption that this side of the ridge is easier than the other side of the street... it's still some significant hiking. There are no paved paths over here. You're going to be climbing a couple hundred vertical feet... maybe more than once depending on the approach. The terrain difficulty ratings I used for the circuit are relative to how much climbing you might do. If you just run in to grab #1, you won't break much of a sweat, but the circuit will probably bring you up, then down. You should probably wear your hiking shoes for this.
