The fruit garden (HaBustan) is a small natural park on the east side of Maccabim. It contains a variety of local fruit trees: Olives, almonds, figs, vines, and other.
The area of the fruit garden was used in past generations for agriculture. Some remains of this activity are still seen on the site. A watchtower was restored, and can be viewed from the road approaching the park. The trails in the park offer an easy walk, but are not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers. From the top of the watchtower you can see a great view of the Judean hills.
Public transportation in this area is not very efficient. To reach the cache by car, take road 443 and turn south on Maccabim-Reut junction. Continue until the first round-about and then turn left to Sdreat HaMaccabim. Continue straight, (passing another roundabout) until you reach the end of the road and see the top of the watchtower.
This is the first cache placed in the city of Modiin-Maccabim-Reut. The micro cache (35mm film container) is wrapped by a plastic bag and contains a log sheet and a pencil.
