How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Located at ground zero of the North Augusta Greenway, this is a pretty easy cache to find. Great for kids and adults alike, especially if you are a train buff.

The tunnel at this location used to be an old railway tunnel. The tracks originally headed east-west here, the road that heads east here was the original train track. If you go just a few feet short of 1/2 of a mile east you can see the old tracks AND you can see a very nice example of an old abandoned train, I think there are about a dozen cars to check out, very cool stuff!

There's a few different ways to get to the cache, you can drive there and parking is located literally within spitting distance of the geocache. Or you can walk there it as it is located right on the Greenway!

Cache container is a glass jar, please be careful with it!
