This cache is located on the former site of Lansing's Waverly
Hills Golf Course, which was closed in 2008. Although the property
is owned by the city of Lansing, it actually resides outside of the
city limits within Lansing Township.
Since being closed, this 88-acre site has been used for disc
golf, cross-country track and skiing, a dog park and mountain
biking. A study will be done in the future to determine a master
plan for this large property. As dedicated parkland, it cannot be
sold to a developer without voter approval. It's likely to remain
open green space for the foreseeable future.
Container is a small round lock and lock that has been painted
brown. There is a MiGO sticker affixed. Please rehide cache as good
or better than found to maintain the difficulty rating.
