Geocache Description:

This non-winter friendly cache is located on the South Branch Oromocto River approx 9kms west of Wirral. To access the area travel west off the 101 on either Sandbrook Rd, (you'll hit that first if travelling from the north on the 101), or at Meadow Brook Rd.

Park at N45 29.898, W066 35.850, and head past the cable gate and up through the pine plantation to the north.

NOTE: Although the posts of the gate have no entry and private written on them, the land owner allows people to walk in to view the falls along this route. Follow the main road to the top of the hill, and then hike down the foot path to the river.

*There is a cross at the top of the cliff over looking the falls in memory of Mr. Chester Sinnett who lost his life here at the falls. Mr. Sinnett died in 1931 while working for a lumbering company. The peavey he was using to push logs out into the middle of the stream lodged into a log, which pulled him out and over the falls to his demise.

The cache is upriver, between the lower and upper falls. It is hidden well in an area unlikely to be frequented by muggles. *The cache is on the NORTH bank of the river.* Travel upstream past the lower falls and cross the river to the north side.

Soft rubber soled footwear is recommended for hiking up the river. This is not a sandal friendly excursion. Cache contains a log book, pen and traders.
