On top of one of the dozens of steep rocky outcroppings in Blue Mountain Reservation. From the relative treeless summit, there is a view to the west of Montrose, the Hudson, and the mountains of Harriman State Park across the Hudson
You can follow a bike trail to near the base almost due west of the cache, then circle counterclockwise around to approach from SSE. Fairly steep terrain with no trail, but no rock climbing is needed. Standard ammo can has been stolen, log remains.
