Happy Cachers of South Florida-June Flash Mob
This is event number 5 of the Happy Cachers of South Florida to celebrate a monthly theme and get together for the purpose of having fun and doing something crazy. To get credit for this event, please assemble at GZ before 12:30 PM and sign the log. The coordinates are for a parking area. We will secure a set of picnic tables south of the posted coordinates for 11AM. Come early, bring a pot luck dish and make a picnic of it. When you RSVP, let us know if you'll be coming early or just for the Flash Event and if you'll be bringing anything.
The theme for the June Flash Mob is Flag Day - with an international twist. Not only does US Flag Day occur on June 14, one of the world's most anticipated events begins this month - the FIFA (Soccer) World Cup. We recommend representing your heritage in your attire, but keep it comfortable, because once we do the Flash Activity and take a photo, we will disperse into a parkwide game of Capture the Flag: Geocaching Style. Geocoins and other prizes will be awarded through the game. Rules for the game will be distributed at Flash Mob time. The only equipment needed for the game is a GPS. The estimated time to complete the game is 30 minutes to 1 hour. Join the hunt, or return to the picnic area and watch things unfold.
We recommend bringing GPS, potluck dish, sunscreen, hat, bug spray, and comfortable walking/running shoes.
