Geocache Description:

You’re looking for a small sized cache containing a log and small trinkets for trade. BYOP (bring your own pen).

This is one of several caches put out to commemorate 10 years of Geocaching.

The ‘SHS’ in the title signifies Stanchfield History Series.

This cache is near the old Stanchfield creamery. Local farmers would bring their fresh milk here in Milk Cans and bring home butter and cheese. My father used to work here in the 40’s making cheese. He would haul cheese from Stanchfield to somewhere in Wisconsin. Not all cheese is made in Wisconsin. The container isn’t a milk can but used to contain a food product that goes well with milk.

***Cache update 9/15/11 - Container is now a large pill bottle***

***CONGRATS TO nwaman FOR THE FTF!!!***
