| Ez egy kisméretü kes, amit csak úgy
tudsz megtalálni, ha egy kicsit „dolgozol“ érte. A
doboz semmi különleges. Az utolsó kb. 2 kilométeren a kesig egy
homokos úton juttok el. (Lásd a képet) Terepjáró autó nélkül, esö
után, összel és télen legyetek óvatosak mert nehéz lesz. Soknapos
esö után a terrain értékelés fél- vagy egy ponttal emelkedik. |

Pokvár története
|
| IV Béla magyar király a mai Pokvár
kastély környéki területet 1269-ben a POKY családnak adományozta.
Az itt talált romokat, amelyek egy valamikori kolostor maradványai
voltak, tévedésböl várromoknak tartották innen a név Pokvár. A
legenda úgy tartja hogy Mátyás király, a hölgyek tisztelöje 1480
körül itt egy gyönyörü Poky lányt környékezett meg. A terület
késöbb a BAY család tulajdonába került, akik a kolostorromokon
(lásd az eredeti boltives pince a bal szárnyban) egy szép
lakókastélyt építettek. Az utolsó átépítések 1869-ben neo-tudor
stílusban történtek. Ezt a stílust csodálhatjuk meg itt
látogatásunkkor. |

| 1996-ban a Kastély Pokvár régi
szépségében a kor igényeinek megfelelöen modernizálva lett
helyreállítva, és így a lósport kedvelöinek pihenöhelyévé vált. A
kastély egy 25 hektéros területen a nyugatmagyarországi Kisalföldön
fekszik, erdök és virágzó mezöktöl körbevéve. A vendégek park
bejáratánál a fák között pillantják elöször meg a kastélyt. |

| It's a Small cache where you have to
“work” a bit to get it. The cache box itself is nothing
special. You have to take a sand road (watch attached picture) on
the last two kilometres to the cache. If you have not an off-road
car, please be careful after rain or in autumn or winter. After
heavy rain the terrain rating may be raised by half/one star. |

The history of the castle
|
| The Hungarian king Bela IV gave the
area around the present mansion as an estate to the Poky family in
the year 1269. The ruins of an early monastery on the site were
thought to have been the ruins of a castle, hence the name in
Hungarian 'Pokvár' meaning 'Poky's Castle'. The legend says that
the great Hungarian king Mathias, who had always an eye for nice
ladies, fell for one of the beautiful daughters of the Poky family
around 1480. Later the estate came into the hands of the Bay family
who built a large handsome mansion on the ruins of the monastery
(see the vaulted cellar roof in the left wing). The last rebuilding
in neo-Tudor style took place in 1869. This style lasts till
today. |

| The last renovation of Pokvár took
place in 1996 and the actual owner restored to it to its old
beauty. The work included modernization to today's standards and
presents itself as a riding establishment. The country mansion is
surrounded by a demesne of 25 hectares (75 acres) in the heart of
West Hungary in plains interspersed with woods and flowering
meadows. |

| Es ist ein Small cache bei dem man
etwas “arbeiten” muss um ihn zu bekommen. Die Cache Box
hat nichts Spezielles. Auf den letzten ca. zwei Kilometern bis zum
Cache müsst Ihr einen Sandweg(siehe angehängtes Bild) nehmen. Wenn
Ihr keinen Geländegängigen Wagen habt, dann seid bitte an Tagen
nach Regen oder Herbst und Winter vorsichtig. Es könnte schwierig
werden. Nach vielen Tagen Regen erhöht sich die Terrainwertung um
einen halben bis einen Stern. |

Die Geschichte von Pokvár
|
| Der ungarische König BÉLA IV. gab das
Gebiet um das heutige Schloss Pokvár als Lehen an die Familie POKY
im Jahre 1269. Die hier vorgefundenen Ruinen eines ehemaligen
Klosters hielt man fälschlicherweise für Burgruinen, also nannte
man es Pokvár, das ist Ungarisch für Burg derer von POKY. Die
Legende berichtet, dass unser großer König Mathias, ein Verehrer
der Damen, um l480 herum hier einem wunderschönen POKY-Fräulein
nachgestellt hatte! Später kam das Gut an die Familie derer von
BAY, die sich dann auf den Klosterruinen (siehe das
Original-Kellergewölbe im linken Flügel) ein schönes Schloss zum
Wohnen gebaut haben. Die letzten Umbauten im Neo-Tudor Stiel fanden
1869 statt. Dieser Stiel kann bis heute bewundert werden. |

| Im Jahr 1996 wurde Schloss Pokvár in
der alten Schönheit wiederhergestellt, den Ansprüchen von heute
entsprechend modernisiert, und so präsentiert es sich als eine
schöne Stätte des Reitsportes und der totalen Erholung vom
alltäglichen Stress. Das Schloss gehört zu einem Gut von 25 Hektar
und liegt im Herzen von West-Ungarn in der Kleinen Ungarischen
Tiefebene, umgeben von schattigen Wäldern und blühenden Wiesen. Bei
der Einfahrt in den Park erblicken die Gäste das Schloss durch die
Bäume. |
