MN.Fruitcake: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. Geocache Description:


The House Of El

The House of El rests atop the mountain side watching over "The Good", "The Bad" and "The Ugly". Even though Jor-El is dead he still watches over the feuds between the three and interacts as needed to help his son Kal-EL. He comes back from the grave in the form of a computer that he has recorded all his teachings and knowledge onto. The house of El was one of the three noble ruling families of Krypton. Superman's real name is Kal-El and his father was Jor-El. The name El translates to "of the Star" in Kryptonian.

The "S" symbol that's normally seen on superman's chest is the House of El's family crest. It doesn't stand for superman, but since El means of the stars I would say it stands for star. Superman wears this symbol so he never forgets where he came from and that he's not human and to also remember the family name and their legacy.
