The Gate of the Moon” In 1949 we moved to Modjeska Canyon. I remember the unusual house that stood there, which we know as “La Puerta De Luna” as I have depicted in this drawing. Sometime later in the 1950s it became known as the “Goat House” because of a goat herder who lived there. In the 1960s it was torn down to simply a platform, and sometime later only four wooden pillars remained, these were finally burned to the ground in the fire as of 2007.
