A walk of about 3/4 of a mile from the car park takes you out on the beautiful An Aird peninsular in Braes. Why not walk out on the beach and back on the grassy cliff? Either way walk out towards the ruins on an old fort at the northernmost end. Take great care near the cliff edge and keep children and dogs under close control.
A car parking area is on the cliiftop. Walk from here (don't park in passing places) to the red post box and then follow the good path down to the beach. Take in the views of Ben Tianavaig and follow on round the small lochan (locally called "Fools loch") and walk to the top of the ridge and enjoy the 360 degree views.
The cache is a clear container with blue clips on the lid. It contains a pencil, pad & sharpener. It also contains a few sets of earrings. Feel free to trade items , but be sure to note your visit.
Someone has since taken the pencil, please make sure you have a pen to write in the log.
