Majasaari
Saarijärven Pyhäjärvellä sijaitsevan Majasaaren pohjoisosa on asumatonta ja yksi suosikkipaikoistani Pyhäjärvellä. Tämä multikätkö esittelee tätä erämaista aluetta. Alueelta löytyy kivikkoisia rantoja, suopursulle ominaista ympäristöä sekä laajoja jäkäläkallioita.
Lenkki parkkipaikalta purkille ja takaisin on alle 2 kilometriä, etupäässä ilman polkuja. Loppuvaiheessa jäkäläkallioilla eteneminen on helpompaa, mutta olkaa hienovaraisia alueen luontoa kohtaan. Jäkäläiset kalliot näyttävät nimittäin varsin koskemattomilta, joten pidetään ne myös sellaisina!
Alkukoordinaateista löydät small-kokoisen purkin männyn luota kolosta, josta löytyy koordinaatit seuraavaan paikkaan.
Kakkospiste: Laske lähialueella olevien kivien määrä.
- Jos kiviä on alle 1000 kappaletta, lisää kakkospisteen pohjoiskoordinaattien loppuosaan 70 ja itäkoordinaatteihin 190.
- Kivien määrän ollessa yli tuhat, lisää pohjoisiin koordinaatteihin 110 ja itäisiin naatteihin 164
Kätkö on jäkäläalueella, josta syystä olen tehnyt sen löytämisen helpoksi. Talvella kätkö peittyy lumen alle, jos lunta on kohtuullinen määrä, mutta paikka löytynee kyllä talvellakin.
Majasaari island in Pyhäjärvi lake of Saarijärvi is largely uninhabited and one of my favourite places of the lake. This multicache introduces you to this piece of wilderness. Characteristics of the area include rocky shores and cliffs full of lichen.
The trip from the parking place to the box and back is under 2 kilometers and that is mainly outside of any tracks. In the end part of the trip it is easier to proceed, but please be gentle with the lichen on the cliffs.
The lichen cliffs look like they are in a very natural state, so let's keep them that way!
From the start coordinates you will find a small sized cache in a hole next to a pine tree. From there you get the coordinates for the next stage.
Second stage: Count the number of stones in the area.
- If you can't find at least 1000 stones, add 70 to the last part of the north coordinates of this second stage and similarly add 190 to the east coordinates
- In case you find over 1000 stones, add 110 to the north coordinates and 164 to the east coordinates.
The cache is located in the lichen area, so I have made it easy to find the cache container. If there is a reasonable amount of snow, the cache will be buried under the snow. However, it shouldn't be difficult to find the place in any season.
