Kalliosaari
Kalliosaari on yksi suosikkipaikoistani Pyhäjärven itäosissa,
jossa järvi on erittäin kirkasvetinen ja myös kivikkoinen.
Kalliosaari on pieni saari, jossa on kuitenkin paljon
mielenkiintoista luontoa ja hienot näkymät eri suuntiin Pyhäjärveä.
Saarella on nuotiopaikka rannalla, mutta polttopuita ei näytä
yleisessä käytössä olevan. Toisella puolella saarta on joitakin
polttopuita, mutta ne ovat piilotettu kiven alle kätkön omaisesti,
joten ilmeisesti niiden tuoja ei halua muiden niitä käyttävän.
Kesällä kätkölle pääsemiseen tarvitaan luonnollisesti
vesikulkuneuvo. Ainakin
täältä ja
täältä saa veneen laskettua vesille. Jos on mahdollista kantaa
vesikulkuneuvoa,
Majasaaren sillalta voisi löytyä hyvä lähtöpiste
vesiretkelle.
Talvella kätköpaikka peittynee lumeen, mutta vihjeen avulla
uskoisin kätkön olevan melko hyvin löydettävissä talvellakin.
Kätkö olisi hyvä jättää näkymättömiin saarella vierailevien
jästien varalta!
Kalliosaari island is one of my favourite places in eastern
parts of Pyhäjärvi lake where the water very clear and full of
rocks. Kalliosaari is a small island with interesting nature and
nice views around the lake of Pyhäjärvi. There is a fireplace on
the island, near the shoreline. However, there doesn't seem to be
lots of wood to make a fire for common use. There is some wood on
other side of the island, but it is hidden in a way that it is not
probably meant for occasional visitors.
In the summer, you obviously need a boat or other kind of water
vehicle to reach the cache site. It is possible to launch your boat
at least from
here and
here. If you are able to carry your vehicle, a good starting
point could be from the
bridge to Majasaari.
During winter the cache spot will probably be buried under snow,
but I believe it is not too difficult to find the container even
during the winter with the hint.
Please, leave the cache unseeable so that geomuggles visiting
the island would not spot it!
