The published co-ordinates are bogus but do indicate the broad general locality where the cache will be found.
The series of caches that make up this mystery follow a route taken by many as they make their way from inland Victoria to the coast for a "seachange".
To solve the puzzle of this mystery cache you will need to record the letter and number information contained within the following caches:
GC287CV - Freeway 2 Franklin,
GC287CX - Franklin the Sleeping Giant,
GC287CZ - Leonard’s Power,
GC287D1 - Wally’s Exchange,
GC287D3 - Rollin’s View,
GC287D4 - Scotchman’s Hill.
Once you have the information you will be ready to manipulate the numbers to find the location of a waypoint. At this waypoint you will be looking for a device that will provide the information from which you will easily find your way to the cache, but don't let the waypoint drive you nutty.
The cache is a 1L Sistema container, hidden in a fashion familiar to all geocachers. Please ensure that it is well hidden before you leave and we would ask that you help maintain the standard of the cache by placing quality swaps only.
The waypoint is at:
S 38 11.ABC
E 144 42.DEF
Where:
ABC = 2xW + Y - V
DEF = ½ of [Zx4 + X + W – (10 + U)]
If you are not sure that you have the correct coordinates, Evince has been replaced by a check sum: S = 24, E = 29
