West Texas Reviewer: To the Geocaching Community,

I have been advised that "rm1911" has passed away. I have, in turn, advised Groundspeak Headquarters.

Since maintenance can not be performed by the CO, I am, therefore, archiving this Geocache under the advisement of Groundspeak.

Thank You for your understanding in this delicate matter.

Geocache Description:

River Cache

This cache is located on a public accessible island on the Colorado River.

The cache is only accesible by boat or swimming which is why the difficulty / terrain rating is high. Watch for Snakes since it's their environment :-)

The Smithville river bridge is a public boat ramp and there are two caches located in and around the river bridge.

A neat thing is to park and lock a bicycle at the River Bend park in Smithville, put your canoe or kayak in at the river bridge and float down to the River Bend park, then it's a nice bike ride back to your put in.

The cache is a small Otter Box. Please bring a pen.

Nice Job to "Turtleknuckles" for FTF!
