Geocache Description:

Click on this link to check your answer!
This cache is not located at the listed coordinates! You will need to first go down, and then up a rather steep embankment, however, you do not need to be on the dam itself.

To locate this cache, you must convert the following puzzle from

letters to numbers using the "normal elevation" of the following

lakes. Use the numeral in the hundreds place to solve the puzzle.

For instance, Lake Huron has a “normal elevation” listed as 577 ft, so you would replace  the letter in the puzzle with a 5, since the 5 is in the hundreds place in the elevation.

I used Lakelubbers.com for my elevations.

Now here is the puzzle!

N35 AB.CDE   W96 FG.HIJ

A= Lake Louise, Alaska

B= Keystone Lake, Oklahoma

C= American Falls Res. Idaho

D= Beaver Lake, Arkansas

E= Crystal Lake, Wisconsin

F= Lake Thunderbird, Oklahoma

G= Lake Mary, Minnesota

H= Lake Pepin, Minnesota/Wisconsin

I= Seeley Lake, Montana

J= Lake Placid, New York

Have fun and be careful, no telling what you might run into in the woods.

The container is a large plastic spice container 6"x3" with a camo paint job.

Back in the late '70s I was going to school in Okmulgee at OST and spent

many a Friday or Saturday night out here at the lake. After finding

the cache, take a short hike to the top of the hill for a nice view

of the lake.
