Palac:

Pierwsza wzmianka o Ryglicach pochodzi z 1301 r. jednak wies powstala prawdopodobnie juz w XII w. Zostal on wówczas przebudowany na palac.

The palace:

The first document where Ryglice village was mentioned dates from 1301 but the village itself was established probably much earlier, in 12. century. Some historical buildings survived in Ryglice to date. One of these is a manor which was remodelled to a palace. Its construction began in 17. century as a property of the Ankwicz family, who owned Ryglice village. Around the manor there were a park and fish ponds nearby, which survived to present time. A wooden granary from 18. century was preserved as well. At the beginning of 19. century Ryglice and the manor were transferred onto the Lesniowski family. The manor was at that time rebuilt to a palace. At the end of 19. century the owners of the palace were the Szczepanski family - and from their times a masonry shrine in the park survived. After WWII the owners of palace were deprived of their property by the new political regime (dispossession was a common policy against the rich). In the palace an agricultural school and then a health centre were organised. At present, a group of secondary schools is located there.
