The building of the water mill has two levels. On the lower
level there was the stable of the donkeys.
On the upper flow there was one room for the miller. You can
still see the old blue painting of the walls.
Please take care and do not enter the main
building of the water mill for two reasons:
The lower level would be save, however, bats are living here which
you can view safely from the door. The upper lever is dangerous
because the floor is not save at all.
The mill itself was on the right to the main building. The
millstone was driven by water which ran with constant pressure
through the water tower. The grain couldn’t be grinded at
once because of missing water in the summer. In the autumn after
the first rain the miller called all farmers in the village to
grind the groin to flour.
A little bit left to - and of course outside of - the building
you find the stove which was used to bake bread.
Climbing up the slope you find the water reservoir and the short
water channel to the water tower. If you have a look to the trees
which grow within the water reservoir you can estimate how long ago
is was since this water mill has been used. Well, it was active up
the forties of last century.
Did you have found the small chapel as well?
