Geocache Description:

This ‘first time’ cache is located in Inwood Park. A pleasant neighbourhood park with varied areas – children’s playground, Basketball court, formal planting, open grass for ball games and ‘long grass’ for dog walking. In years gone by the park incorporated a small boating lake and paddling pool in the south-west corner. These are fondly remembered by many local Hounslow people. The park has an active ‘Friends’ group who have secured funds to build a new water-play area on the site of the old paddling pool. Work is expected to start on site in summer of 2010. Residents parking operates in the surrounding streets (Mon.- Fri. 9.30am-6.00pm, Sat. 9.30am-12.30pm, none on Sundays) but there are some ‘Pay and Display’ spaces in Inwood Road, Livingstone Road and Inwood Avenue. There are also a reasonable number of Disabled Badge Holder spaces in Inwood Road, on the west side of the park. Other than that everything else is single yellow lines. If you are on public transport - the park is within 10mins. of Hounslow East tube and Houslow overland train stations. Hounslow Bus Garage which is served by a large number of routes is within 5mins. of the park. You’re looking for a black 35mm film canister which contains a small rolled up log book (please bring a pen). The area where the cache is hidden is a (not densely) wooded area off one of the tarmac paths. Access is flat and reasonably open. Although it would be slightly bumpy the cache area could be accessed by a wheelchair. Please take some time and effort in replacing the cache so that it maintains its integrity – you’ll understand what I mean when you find it.
