wildfiretv: This cache has been muggled too many times. A tree has fallen and blocked access to the cache but I was able to crawl through the branches and it is missing again.

Red Bluff is a small town along the Sacramento River that started attracting settlers in the 1850's (following the California gold rush). Immigrants from China began settling the area in 1852. The number of Chinese settlers peaked at 774 in 1890. They represented about 8 percent of Red Bluff's population. Red Bluff's Chinatown encompassed 2 blocks along High Street (now called Rio Street) between Oak St. and Walnut St. It has been told that a network of tunnels connect houses and businesses in the downtown area and was used to smuggle opium, gambling, holding secret meetings, or maybe just get away for the scorching summer heat.

When Congressional legislation limited immigration in the 1880s, the Chinese population in Red Bluff began to decline. As of 2000 (when the last census was taken) 1.6 percent were of Asian decent, or roughly 210 residents

When you get this cache take some time to walk a short distance to where some of these residents are laid to rest.
