Geocache Description:

This cache hid near Higashi-nakano station.

Nakano Hikawa Shrine is a Shinto shrine at the position like the middle of furniture of subway Oedo Line Higashi-Nakano Station and Nakano-sakaue Station.
Minamoto-no-Yorinobu requested division of a shrine's tutelary deity, in order to share it with Omiya Hikawa Shrine in 1030. And, it is an origin of this shrine that he built the small shrine. When Dokan Ota captured the Shakujii castle in 1477, he prayed for the victory in this shrine. And, after it had won a war, he seems to have built the building of a Shinto shrine.
