Trees of Alabama Series: Sycamore - (Platanus occidentalis Platanaceae ). Deciduous tree found commonly in all regions of Alabama. The Sycamore likes moist soil and is often used by wildlife to nest or den. The fruit is a round ball of achenes.There is a picture of a Sycamore Tree, seed ball, and it's leaves on the cache log. The container is a camoed matchstick holder. You can park 10 ft from the cache. Please return cache as found.
