Geocache Description:

The above coordinates are the 1st waypoint, at which you will notice a wooden bench. You need to obtain the year of birth of the person that the bench was dedicated to. This will give you letters ABCD. Continue along the River Lea and passed the Marquis of Granby public house. The 2nd waypoint is a telegraph pole - collect the pole number =E

Continue along this pleasant lane until you reach the bridge which used to carry the Luton to Wheathampstead railway. Go up the steps and take the left hand path option, which is part of the Lea Valley walk. The cache is a small canister, containing only a log book and a small pencil. The final coordinates for the cache is located at N51 (E+2) B 11B and W000 AB (D+4)8C Good luck to all fellow cachers - who will be the FTF ...........the race is on!! Well done to Siobhan White for both the 1st FNTF (First Not to Find) as well as the FTF- that's quite an achievement. Glad you got the other clue as well - we thought it was easy but guess it is when your the one hiding the cache! After a few DNF's, we decided to check if it is still there. It had gone, but have replaced about 2 foot from the original site 25th November 2010 - Just checked and the replacement has gone. Have replaced yet again with another 35mm pot - this time it is on the opposite side of the path from the 5 posts, located in a tree. This is now an easy find compared to the tricky original, however still a busy site with passing muggles and duggles (muggle dogs)
