Time for another Mississippi Gulf Coast Event !!!! We have the
pavilion rented all day 10:00am until. Thanks to our supporters:...

We thought it was about time to have another Mississippi Gulf Coast
Event and all geo-cachers are welcome. Events are so much fun and
the fellowship and story swapping can’t be beat. We are
planning to have a shrimp boil with corn, potatoes, and sausage (
Cajun style ), assorted sodas, tea, and bottled water. There is a
possibility that the oil spill could put a damper on the seafood,
but if that’s the case, we will have the next best thing, the
All-American summer treat—grilled hamburgers & hotdogs.
At any rate, no need to worry about bringing anything. We will also
bring a couple of Island pies for dessert. There will be a DONATION
bucket set up for everyone to help share some of these costs. There
will be some awards presented and some Geo-games will be hosted.
There will be Geo-Bingo and Throw the Ammo Can. We would like for
everyone attending to bring a door prize to be given away during
our normal event drawings. We will have some of our local judges on
site to vote for the best,unique, or unusual homemade door prize
that’s entered. The winner will win a special coin, that only
200 were minted, for their talented efforts. It will be at the Gulf
Islands National Seashore ( no entry fee ) in Ocean Springs,
Mississippi and has been reserved for this Summer Event. There is
plenty of parking near the pavillion (#3 ), rest rooms, and a
campground within easy walking distance for anyone that might want
to bring their campers. There may also be some new caches coming
out in time for the event for everyone to grab. If you are planning
on bringing the kids, please post it in you Will Attend log: how
many, ages, and if is boy or girl. We will have something for them
if we know they are coming, so post as soon as you can. Awardees as of now will be:
