A CITO (Cache In Trash Out) Event at Penhorn Lake in Dartmouth,
Nova Scotia. Trash bags and latex gloves will be provided. This is
an opportunity to give back to a local community by helping to keep
its area litter free.
This event is from the partnership of ACGA (Atlantic Canada
Geocaching Association) and Environment Canada, and this Event is
being held in conjunction with the other 3 Atlantic Provinces in
celebration of the "International Year of Biodiversity".
Penhorn Lake has a little beach area, and is a fishing spot for
some dedicated fisherfolk.
Come out and share some time and stories with other cachers, win
some great prizes, and help clean up a deserving area!
ACGA & Environment Canada need volunteers to help organize
four (4) geocaching CITO events in each province in Atlantic Canada
during environment. ACGA & Environment Canada have partnered
for a number of projects over the years beginning with the pilot
project “Geocache Your Watershed” and with subsequent
launch events in Saint John including a CITO event in Rockwood
park. Since that time, a few more CITO events were organized.
If you are a
Geocacher in Atlantic Canada, please join us. The ACGA is your
gateway to caching in and around the East Coast.
