Geocache Description:

Mimurotoji is a beautiful temple and also known as the 10th site of Saigoku (West Japan) 33 pilgrimage sites.

The temple was, it was said, built in AD770 by order of Emperor Kojin.
With its long history more than 1200years, it is no wonder there are a lot of cultural monuments and heritages.

Today, the temple is famous for its beautiful gardens where you can enjoy seasonal flowers throughout a year. One of the best temple to feel four seasons of Japan.

Azalea and Shakunage in May
Hydrangea in June to July
Lotus in July to August
Maple foliage in middle of November or later
and Snow in Winter!

A cache is hidden near the parking lot and accessible from the street.
It is highly recommended to visit and enjoy blooming flowers during day.
