This is about a 3/4 mile walk from the parking area on Cass. You are looking for a small bottle. Be prepared for the trail to go up a steep hill, onto the higher grade for a while to get around the small creek running into the pond.
This is a fairly easy walk except for the portion around the creek running into the pond. Look for all types of birds, I counted 8 different species just on my walk in. This portion of the Boardman trail is not used a heavily as the trail on the south side of the pond but gives you good views of the changing area from a pond to a river. Make sure you stop and look for the "Cass Pond Cache" GC7430 placed by trashcan along the way.
