Geocache Description:

This cache is an addition to our very popular Nayland & Wissington Trail Series and takes you into the heart of the medieval village of Nayland.

This is number eight in our series of caches placed along the Stour Valley path and surrounding area. Each cache can be done individually or as part of the trail.

The cache is placed between two churches in Nayland; the vast St James Church (Nayland) with St Marys (Wiston), and the tiny Catholic Church of the Sacred Heart.

St James with St Marys is a 15th century cloth church; built on the wealth of cloth traders. The tower has never been rebuilt and is still the original 14th century building. The churches are nestled tightly in the heart of the village surrounded by charming and very old houses.

Please note care should be taken as cache is located on roadside, there are no footpaths at cache site.

You are looking for a small film-cannister sized container. This is a log only cache so please bring a pen!
