An easy walk along a marked trail (a rough road) with woodland/farmland either side. The cache itself is a one litre snap-down box inside a camoflage bag with a logbook and some swaps.
From the car parking area, the walk to the cache takes you along the Old Post Road which is thought to be one of several old roads from Edinburgh to Moffat but which now forms part of the South of Scotland Countryside Trails network. In springtime, the fields are full of lambs.
About a mile along the track there is a signposted crossroads (see waypoint and photo). There are a couple of routes to the cache from here.
The cache itself is not far from Eddleston and could alternatively be accessed from the Barony Castle rather than the Car Parking area listed as a Waypoint.
This cache could be combined with Old Post Road (GC285QM).
