Opposite Bank Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

ArcToArcturus: Sadly its time to go :(

Went down to 'Opposite Bank' this afternoon to try and find the cache , but its not there. I did however find a lot of litter around GZ (glass bottles etc) , so i presume its either been nicked or thrown in the river.

Geocache Description:

A lot of walking needed to reach this!

I thought of placing a cache here after walking down the river tyne footpath at long cram and wondering what it's like from the other perspective , hence the name of the cache. You can view the river tyne from the cache location , looking either upstream towards the clerkington section of the river or downstream to the long cram section.

To reach the cache make your way towards the stevenson footbridge , located on the tyne walkway in haddington. At this point there is a right of way leading up towards the B6368. Hop over the fence into the field and walk up to the NW boundry of it (use side of field , don't trample the crops please). Once you get up to the NW boundry , there should be a small dirt footpath leading down the back of a wall at N 55° 56' 55.65" , W 2° 47' 22.02" , go down this and the cache is closeby.
