Tucked away in southeastern York County is one of the newest additions to the state game land system, SGL 327. This land was donated to the state just a few years ago and is adjacent to the excellent trout and fly-fishing area of Muddy Creek. This cache has six stages located throughout the game lands in order to acclimate you to the area.
First of all use the parking coordinates in order to find where to park - look for the signs and you will need to turn on a stone driveway to the parking lot. Once at the parking lot follow the stone/grass trail to access most of the caches.
The coordinates listed above are for the first stage, which is a large plastic container. At stage 1 take a paper with hints and blanks to fill out as you go from stage to stage. Each stage is a different type of hide, and there are a few twists along the way. Since the round trip hike is over 2 miles, the cache hides are not meant to be extremely hard. Most stages are a short distance off the trail, except for stage 5 which will require a bit of bushwhacking - my advice is to follow the ridge where there is a rough deer path that will lead you to stage 5.
The prize for First to Find is a $20 Rutters gift card and the prize for Second to Find is an unactivated travel bug. Everyone who completes the stages gets a token for an ice cream treat at Collinsville Drive-In. Please do no loot the last stage so everyone can get a token - please let me know if they are all gone when you find it.

Wear orange during hunting season - animals seem to be abundant here as I saw deer, turkey, a fox, an owl, and a blue heron while preparing the cache. Good luck and have fun exploring SGL 327!
