The Rectifier Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

KinderKen: The building construction is still ongoing however it is very slow and I think it will be some time before access to the final cache location is permitted. Because it is a multicache, the stages may be preventing somebody else from putting a cache in the same general area and for that reason I have decided to archive this cache. If proximity issues are not a problem in the future after the construction is complete, then I may attempt to un-archive this one or submit a new listing. Thanks Cache Effect for your patience.

Geocache Description:

This simple multi has easy parking and easy terrain.

A rectifier is a device that converts AC power to DC power. It is used in a process called cathodic protection to prevent or minimize external corrosion on buried or submerged metallic structures. The positive output of the rectifier is connected to structures called anodes which are designed to slowly corrode over a long period of time. The negative output from the rectifier is connected to the metallic structure to be protected and if sufficient current is permitted to continuously flow, external corrosion can be eliminated or greatly reduced. This process is similar to electrolysis, a battery process or the corrosion process itself used to our advantage. Cathodic protection is used throughout the world to protect underground and submerged metallic structures such as pipelines, well casings, storage tanks, ship hulls, docks and other metallic structures. The first stage of this easy two stage multi will provide you with the information required to find the final stage which is located very close to a rectifier. Please bring your own pen or pencil.

IT IS NOT THE WHITE TRANSMITTER ON TOP OF THE RECTIFIER.

Congratulations to GeoWyrm for the FTF.
