The cache is less than 10ft off the Bearskin Trail, about 350yds from the trailhead. You are looking for a small camo lock 'n lock sandwich container. There is enough room for the logbook and the pencil and a few small items or coins.
We placed this cache while visiting family nearby in Tomahawk. It is named for the Ontario provincial flower -- and we saw quite a few of them while in Wisconsin as well.
Trail Information
There are two trailheads located along County Hwy K. Parking is available free of charge at the east trailhead. There is no parking available at the west trailhead. The trail is open during the spring, summer, and fall to hiking and bicyclists and to snowmobiles from December 1 through March 31. ATVs, horses, hunting or other motorized vehicles are prohibited. A state trail pass is required for bicyclists aged 16 years or older. A daily pass is $4.00/person. An annual pass (valid on all state trails January 1 through December 31) is $20.00. Trail cards can be purchased at the Northwoods Store at the corner of Hwy K and US 51 or at local Wisconsin DNR offices. There is also self-registration available at the parking lot. Failure to purchase a pass before trail use will result in a $5.00 surcharge or a citation. No trail pass is required for hiking.
