This BLOTT on the landscape can be seen from miles around, no
matter where you are in the Bishop Auckland area. Every time we see
it we can't help think what the local council were thinking when it
was built.
Vinovium House currently houses the Department of Works and
Pensions and accommodates a total of 40 staff!!! Recent news is
that it is to close with staff relocating to Middlesbrough and
Newcastle. Hopefully the council can then remove this eye-sore from
the landscape.
