The cache is located along a trail from the campsite, although there are now several trees across the trail. You can also access the cache by parking off the road and walking down to the cache. The area near the cache is an extension of the lake, but looks like a pond. We could hear lots of frogs nearby as we placed the cache.
The cache is a small Loc n Loc container.
We placed this cache as we were camping on the Victoria Day long weekend. We finally managed to get the whole family together for a camping weekend. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. We had huge winds, heavy rain and then freezing temperatures and snow.....lots of it. We had a good time even with the weather challenges and we hope to come back on a warmer weekend so that we can really explore the area.
Paska Lake is a small fishing lake. It has an open 50 vehicle BCFS campsite that is motor home accessible. There are pit toilets and a roof top boat launch.
The campsite has tables and new trees have been planted recently, as most of the dead trees have been removed.
This is a popular area for fishing, camping, picnicking, canoeing, dirt biking/ATV riding and trail exploring.
