Cache is located along the Otaika Valley Walkway approx 45 minutes from the Otaika valley road end .Car parking co-ords S 35 46.665 E 174 16.635 3km off state highway 1 .You can also walk the track from the end of Raumanga Valley Rd (off Murdoch Crescent) and this is less challenging than the steepish Otaika Valley end.Enjoy the lovely native bush and historical Kumara pits and terraces along the way. Near GZ there is a seat with a rural view at 264m elevation.This track is listed as 7,998 steps from end to end and 6km,2 hrs one way.Before the seat from the Otaika Valley end you are looking for a Nikau palm on the corner of the track with two opposing orange arrows.From this take 15 paces at a bearing of 20 degrees North.Cache is a 400ml sistema amongst the young Lancewoods.
