Geocache Description:

A film canister in a tiny but well-maintained cemetery.

In every town there are street names that seem completely normal to the locals, but are unfamiliar to new residents. Often those streets were named after early settlers. Such is the case with Jessup Road, named after Daniel Jessup a.k.a. "Indian Daniel."

Daniel Jessup was born 9/7/1780 in Cumberland County, New Jersey, moved to Hamilton County, Ohio in 1801, fought in the War of 1812, and died on 10/12/1866. "Indian Daniel" was the government inspector of Indians on the Ohio reservations. With his wife, Nancy Stewart, he raised two boys, John and Isaac D., on a farm in the Mt. Airy area where Jessup Road, Jessup Cemetery, and this cache are located.
