A cache and dash. Enter the shelter belt by going through the field gate and then nip through any of the gaps in the hedge.
Plenty of parking spaces at the field gates, etc. Amazingly it's a bus route, so you really must pull in tight.
The cache site commemorates the old Broadstone Castle of which not one stone on top of another survives. The entrance lay just across the lane on the left.
The name celebrates the John Muir Trust conservation work done at nearby Spier's Old School Grounds by the YKG Youth Group from Kilbirnie.
