Geocache Description:

This series is meant to bring out some history from around the Mulvane area. So for history sake and to get some new caches around the Mulvane/Udall area I have placed the series along the old K-15 Highway route starting at the current K-15/K-53 junction.

The idea for this series came to me when I was thinking about my days back in the early 80’s when I was on the then Mulvane Civil Defense Fire Department. I was responding to a fire out east of town when one of the “old timers” got on the radio and said to just follow the “Old K-15” and you will find the fire. I had no idea at the time that K-15 went any other way than in the current diagonal from Mulvane to Udall.
Originally K-15 went east out of Mulvane on 119th St. S. approximately 2 ¼ miles to River Rd. (Su.Co.)/127th St. E (Sedg.Co.); then south 1 mile to 140th North; then east 1 mile to Oxford Rd. (Su.Co.)/143rd St. E. (Sedg.Co.); then south 5 miles, crossing the current K-15, where it meets K-55; then east to Udall.
Around 1945 the diagonal road was build from Udall up to Oxford Road. The roads were still dirt. By 1951 K-15 was connected diagonally from Mulvane to Udall and the road was paved.

You are continuing south on Oxford Rd. You are looking for a camo taped pill bottle. This is a log only container so you will need to bring your own pen.
