New paths which lead through the site are suitable for wheelchair access. New benches provide places for people to rest, encouraging people to make better use of the site.
The park is used by different groups and individuals who previously did not use the park.
People are now comfortable with using the whole site and the path network for walking and recreation.
Events that have been held in the park include planting, litter clean ups and tree management. These have been widely publicised via the local press, posters and mailouts. The events have encouraged people to come along and participate and have raised the profile of the park and the range of evironmental improvements delivered.
The improved path network has provided people with pleasant walking routes, meandering through woodland and new planting, making the park an interesting place to walk and enjoy the outdoor space.
The well publicised programme of community events has generated high attendance and participation, attracting new people as well as established members of the ''Friends'' Group. The Friends Group has taken a very active role in the improvements to the park and have built up a very close and positive working relationship with EGBT''s Community Projects Officer.
