About ...
Western Massachusetts Council, Boy Scouts of America

The Western Massachusetts Council serves the Scouts and Scouters in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden, and Hampshire Counties of western Massachusetts.

The Western Massachusetts Council is geographically the largest Boy Scout council in Massachusetts.

NOTE: The cache IS at the posted coordinates BUT BEFORE YOU LOG IT AS A FIND, you must complete a challenge or quest.

The rules of the Quest:

  1. To "FIND" this cache, you must find a cache within each of the original 5 districts of the Western Massachusetts Council, BSA in addition to this cache.  See the map with the districts above.

  2. Generally accepted rules, guidelines and conditions for logging a cache find apply.  These must be bona fide active caches listed on Geocaching.com that you have personally (physically) found and logged both at the cache and online.

  3. All active physical cache types (including Traditionals, Multis, Mysteries, GPS Maze Exhibits, Wherigo, and Letterbox Hybrid caches) count as finds for the Western Massachusetts Council, BSA Challenge.

  4. One of your finds must be either a Virtual cache, an EarthCache, or an Event cache.

  5. Locationless and Traveling caches WILL NOT be allowed.

  6. For Multis and Mysteries, the posted coordinates determine which district the cache counts for the find.  In other words, if the cache begins in one district and ends in another, the given starting coordinates are what count. This also applies to state lines as well.  For example, http://www.coord.info/GCGC0Y: MA/VT/NY is eligible because it is listed as Massachusetts on the geocaching.com website and is within the Western Massachusetts Council.

  7. Only those who have fulfilled ALL criteria for this challenge cache will be allowed to log it as a find.

  8. Remember that this is a game and is supposed to be fun!

To verify completion you will need to post a verifiable list of qualifying caches or E-mail me the GC number and date of each of the 5 finds.  Unverified "finds" will be deleted.

FTF prize is an UNACTIVATED, 'CACHE TO EAGLE' GEOSCOUTING COIN!

Swapping of bugs and coins prior to or after finishing the challenge is OK.

Good luck and good caching,

Last Note:
Attributes are for the final cache, terrain and difficulty will vary based on the caches you do.
